Where is the Love?

(The Art of Bug Reporting)  

When Penny and Leonard  got back together on The Big Bang Theory, Leonard  proposed a  way to make communication  better in their relationship: whenever either of them had a problem, they should write it down so the other could  “fix the bug”.  Bug reports are a critical element in the relationship between a software vendor and customer (or boyfriend/girlfriend in the case of Penny and Leonard).   Software developers need bug reports to know what customers don’t like about the product and customers need improvements and bug fixes.  Sometimes the relationship is very positive but other times we feel the sense of aggravation Penny and Leonard felt.

Good communication regarding planning and needs takes practice.  In the long run, the practice and effort pays off in a relationship that benefits everyone.
