Senior Accounting Manager

Spatial is looking for a strong, team-oriented, and dependable Senior Accounting Manager to manage the accounting operations of Spatial including ensuring compliance with requirements from corporate headquarters, US GAAP, and other internal guidelines. The Senior Accounting Manager should be a good communicator with an ability to work with all levels of personnel throughout the company.
SCOPE:
The Senior Accounting Manager will manage a team of three and will report to the CFO. He or she will be responsible for managing and performing the accounting operations of the company and ensuring the integrity of the financial statements and internal controls. This includes full responsibility for the period end close process, including reporting to headquarters, sister companies, and internally. The role also involves providing support and recommendations for internal controls.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Take responsibility and ownership for the month, quarter, and year end close processes ensuring timely and accurate reporting to Dassault and internally within Spatial
- Prepare full set of US GAAP external financial statements on a quarterly basis
- Oversee accounting processes and procedures to ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley and US GAAP
- Oversee intercompany reporting and reconciliations with corporate headquarters and multiple sister entities
- Review financial performance including major balance sheet activity with CFO on a monthly basis
- Provide leadership and direction to an accounting team of three
- Consolidate financial statements for US, UK, and German entities as well as hosted employees in India and Japan
- Learn and oversee inputs to internal Magnitude consolidation tool - primary responsibilities include, managing inputs for US, German and UK entities
- Work closely and proactively with contracts group and CFO by providing insight and recommendations to determine proper revenue recognition based on US GAAP as well as suggested improvements to contracts process
- Work closely with Finance Manager in preparation of corporate MD&A as well as other reports including analysis of significant budget to actual variances
- Manage treasury function including managing day to day banking relationship, ensuring Spatial maximizes yields on surplus working capital and minimizes exposure to movements in foreign exchange rates
- Review and document internal control practices at Spatial and make recommendations for improvement of existing controls. Ensure controls are working effectively and periodically review and update internal control documentation.
- Oversee Payroll and ensure timely and accurate processing
- Statutory Tax Reporting to US Tax Group
- Composition of annual insurance policy renewal
- Ensure compliance including timely and accurate reporting and payment for all local taxes including sales, use, withholding and property taxes
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3-5 years relevant experience
- Solid understanding of US GAAP including experience involving the consolidation of international subsidiaries
- Previous experience in a role directly involving software revenue recognition
- Effective communicator with a demonstrable team oriented approach
- Bachelors or equivalent degree in accounting or finance
- CPA preferred

Spatial has an immediate opening for a Software Engineer to be part of a team that works on projects to improve the efficiency of processes used within the corporation. The primary technical focus of this position requires working on a Java cross-platform distributed testing infrastructure that is used to run a C++ based test harness.
Secondary technical focuses include:

Spatial Co-op/ Intern Program

Spatial is seeking Co-ops or Interns to join our Co-op/Intern program. We believe in building long term relationships with our students. Therefore, Spatial Co-ops/Interns are expected to work at least two semesters with Spatial. The goal is to expose our students to as many aspects of ACIS software development as possible. After completing Spatial's Co-op/Intern program, each student will have spent time in Technical Support, Quality Assurance, Integration, Development and/or other area. Pay ranges from $13-17/hr depending on level of course completion. We are currently looking for students to fill Spring 2009, Summer 2009, and Fall 2009.

Support Services Co-op or Intern (typical first program rotation)
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Spatial is seeking a Co-op or Intern to join the World Wide Support Services team in Broomfield, Colorado. The Co-op/Intern would take on many of the responsibilities a full time technical support person would handle on a day to day basis. As a member of the Support Services team you will be responsible to provide first line technical support in a fast paced office environment for Spatial's 3D Modeling, Interoperability and Visualization product lines by reproducing software defects and developing workarounds as necessary. This position is a 40 hr/wk position lasting 1 semester or term.
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
An ideal candidate would be one who meets the following requirements:
- Good communication skills
- Ability to learn quickly
- Hands-on experience with a commercial CAD application
- Good knowledge of C++
- Knowledge of "Geometric and Solid Modeling" and "Curves and Surfaces" principles is a plus.
- Knowledge of ACIS, InterOp or HOOPS products is a plus.
