Mid-Level Systems Administrator (SA)

POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a self motivated highly functional Systems Administrator (SA) to join our IT organization. This role is responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure. The right candidate will participate in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. The candidate will ensure system hardware, operating systems, software systems, networks, storage systems, telecommunications and related procedures adhere to organizational values enabling the company of Spatial and Dassault Systemes as a whole.
RESPONSIBILITIES
This individual is accountable for the following system environments: AIX, Linux, Storage environment, VMware virtualization, all internal Backups, development systems and Windows systems that supports the overall computing environment for Spatial; Responsibilities on these systems include SA engineering and provisioning, operations and support, maintenance and research and development to ensure continual innovation.
- Receives general instructions for new responsibilities from director and/or manager.
- Initiates some new responsibilities and helps to plan for the future of the site.
- Evaluates and/or recommends purchases.
- Respond to IT support tickets/issues which include anything from hardware replacement to troubleshooting complex development issues across many platforms.
- Project management methodology - These activities include the definition of needs, benefits, and technical strategy; research & development within the project life-cycle; technical analysis and design; and support of operations staff in executing, testing and rolling-out the solutions.
DUTIES
- Install, maintain, upgrade and service a heterogeneous OS environment of AIX, Linux, Windows, Solaris and MAC based software and hardware systems.
- Data Protection – Utilizing in house Commvault and Iron Mountain PC backup technologies manage all aspects of the data protection for the company by performing daily backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media, recovery tapes or disks are created, and media is recycled and sent off site as necessary.
- Storage Administration - Providing overall storage administration by ensuring that the storage needs of the company are planned, designed, efficiently implemented and maintained using NetApp, Compellent and EMC technology and today’s latest standards.
- Virtualization Environment – Maintaining a highly integrated virtual environment using both VMware and Microsoft virtualization technologies with the continuation of planning, designing, implementation and support.
- Network Administration – Administer various levels of support in all aspects of the network/ including network security (firewall, DMZ, intrusion detection and Web) via Palo Alto NGFW; VPN Administration, including connectivity from outside of our network; Internal LAN routing and switching utilizing the Extreme network; and internal company routing, including connectivity via MPLS and/or VPN.
- Development Systems – Administer and maintain a vast set of Spatial specific development systems and services such as: Version control systems (Adele, Subversion and Mercurial), Source control transfers (Diffusions, Storage solution data transfers and mechanisms), Electric Cloud solutions, RightNow CRM, Klocworks Code Analysis server, and Media Wiki documentation server amongst others.
- Web Service Administration – Configure, secure, integrate and maintain the systems which host the Spatial Web presence utilizing the following web technologies – Apache, PHP, Tomcat, MySQL, IIS, MS SQL, etc..
- Provide user support for all user-based systems; providing assistance to the other IT staff members.
- Continue documentation of policies and procedures to IT related functions.

Marketing Intern
Broomfield, CO
Spatial is looking for a marketing intern to update collateral pieces such as datasheets, case studies, and whitepapers; assist with company e-newsletters; assist in Search Engine Optimization activities and website updates; and maintain/update CRM database. The position requires working with and creating graphic pieces for collateral and website. The intern should have knowledge of Adobe design layout programs. Additionally, assistance will be required in event planning for the company Insiders’ Summit in the Fall.

Staff Accountant
Broomfield, CO
Spatial is looking for a strong, team oriented and dependable full-time Staff Accountant to provide financial and administrative support to ensure payroll, accounts payable, travel expense, fixed assets, and sales taxes are processed accurately and timely.
SCOPE:
The Staff Accountant position reports to the Finance Manager and is responsible for providing accounting and administrative services to the finance organization and other functions across the company. This includes processing, reporting, and monitoring payables and expenditures and supporting the monthly close process. Providing these services in an effective and efficient manner will ensure that expenses are accurate and up to date, vendors, suppliers, and employees are paid within established time limits, sales tax is registered and reported properly, and supporting accounting documentation is prepared and filed appropriately to support accounting transactions.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Accounts Payable
Perform the day to day processing of accounts payable transactions to ensure finances are maintained in an effective, up to date and accurate manner. Main responsibilities include verifying expense approvals, prepare checks and wires, code vouchers, maintain the fixed asset system, and process year-end 1099s. Other duties may include the calculation and payment of sales commissions and partner royalties.
2. Payroll
Process bi-weekly payroll for US employees utilizing existing ADP system.
3. Sales & Use Tax
Due to new laws that imply more strict and ubiquitous regulations, existing expertise should be used to analyze invoices and payables to implement a sales and use tax compliance strategy as follows:
- Identify and register states where the Company has nexus
- Identify products and/or revenue where sales tax should be charged
- Implement a reporting plan, process, and timeline to ultimately minimize any sales and use tax risk
- Maintain proper records, analyze, and report sales and use tax as required by law and management
- Stay up to date and educated on all current and new laws with respect to sales and use tax
4. Provide administrative support in order to ensure confidentiality and effective and efficient office operations.
5. Perform other related duties as required.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years related work experience
- ADP payroll expertise preferred
- Sales Tax expertise required
- Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Office software, especially Excel and Outlook

PHP Developer Intern

We are actively searching for a Support Engineer to join our growing team in the Spatial Tokyo office.
The Support Engineer position will be located in the Minato-ku, Tokyo office and report directly to the Asia Regional Manager. The primary responsibilities of the Support Engineer are to provide support and services of Spatial products to Japanese, Korean and other Asian country customers. The candidate must have at least 3-5 years solid software programming experience and be fluent (at the native speaker level) for either the Japanese or Korean language, and fluent in English.
