Software Developer - Geometry

POSITION SUMMARY

SPATIAL is seeking a strong engineering / software developer with an interest in developing geometric modeling software, to join its Broomfield, Colorado team. 

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Developing, enhancing, and supporting 3D geometric modeling products.
  • Enhancing the reliability of a mature and complex software system.
  • Interacting with customers and product management teams.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Proven experience with mathematical algorithms and developing commercial software
  • 6+ years of software development

EDUCATION:

  • Degree in Applied Mathematics; PhD.  MS.  Engineering or related degrees with a strong concentration in Computational Mathematics and/or relevant experience will also be considered such as Electrical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Physics, or Mechanical Engineering

Software Engineer - Interoperability

Broomfield, CO

Spatial Corp., a subsidiary of Dassault Systèmes, is seeking highly skilled Software Engineers with experience developing CAD data translation software in a commercial environment to join its Broomfield, CO team.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Developing / enhancing 3D CAD data translators, including geometry, visualization and GD&T data
  • Evaluating, integrating and productizing partner translator technology.
  • Developing creative, innovative solutions to customer problems
  • Communicating with other development teams round the world

EXPERIENCE:

  • Five or more years of commercial software development experience with CAD data translators
  • Proven experience with Object Oriented Programming, C++
  • Proven experience with CAD/CAM/CAE applications. Some mechanical design experience preferred
  • Understanding and experience in the development and release of commercial software products
  • Experience with Agile and XP practices a plus

EDUCATION:

  • Degree in Computer Science or Mechanical Engineering. Masters preferred.

Sales Operations Specialist

SPATIAL is seeking a skilled Sales Operations Specialist, with experience working with finance and direct sales teams, to join our HQ office in Broomfield, Colorado.

The Sales Operations Specialist will be a key resource for the CFO, finance team and sales team, creating sales tools, presentations, analyses, and documents; managing sales accounts, providing guidance on the use of the company’s CRM to ensure the integrity of their data; measuring and maintaining quarterly goals; contracts administration; sales pipeline and individual achievement reporting; and tracking and monitoring sales budgets and resources.    

The Sales Operations Specialist will also participate in the design of sales commission plans and calculating sales commission payouts; contribute to the preparation of the annual sales expense budget; work closely with Finance on revenue and bookings forecasts; generate ad hoc reports; and carry out special projects as assigned.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare reports, spreadsheets and presentations related to company business initiatives
  • Account management of “low” maintenance accounts
  • Participate as team member in software compliance project
  • Analysis and support of customer revenue trends
  • Assist CFO in deal negotiations and pricing analysis

EXPERIENCE:

  • At least 2 years of software sales operations experience is essential
  • Experience with a direct sales model is preferred
  • High comfort level with CRM systems
  • A high-level understanding of software revenue recognition is preferred

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's degree in a Business field

MINIMUM REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • 2-3 years of experience in a sales specialist role directly supporting a high energy sales team and executive management with proposals, contracts, pricing, and specialist.
  • Well-developed understanding of the sales process and sales operations.
  • Excellent analytical, project management, process development/improvement, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Advanced proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and a working knowledge of CRM software. RightNow.com preferred.

Business Development Executive / Account Manager, North America

CANDIDATE

Reporting to the Sales Director, Americas, the Business Development / Sales Account Manager will be challenged to develop new business leveraging Spatial’s portfolio and penetrating new domains. S/He may also manage and grow existing clients, targeting new opportunities for application of Spatial‘s products within that business.  A strong candidate will be an experienced negotiator and comfortable with envisioning and evangelizing Spatial’s products and concepts to internal and external stakeholders, embracing a consultative, value-based, relationship driven sales methodology.  S/He will be someone who likes a challenge and is excited by the thought of reaching company objectives through the achievement of his/her individual sales objectives.  The person in this position, with a winning attitude, team spirit, position objectives achievement, and great communications skills, may also be considered for future growth opportunities within DS and Spatial.

REQUIREMENTS

  • A minimum of five years in sales of advanced technical software and services solutions
  • Self-starter with a proven track record of working independently to build a business pipeline
  • Experience selling both new and existing products into new markets and customer groups as well as existing strategic accounts
  • Deep understanding of CAD/CAM/CAE or design and manufacturing processes.
  • Contacts and prospecting insights within those market(s) in North and South America
  • Strong technical background related to software applications
  • Proven success in working with cross functional teams including product development, consulting services, finance, legal and customer support.
  • Full understanding of the software development process and business management issues
  • Ability to work with and penetrate an organization at all levels in an organization from the CEO/COO/CTO/CFO level to Software Developer
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills are essential including presentation skills
  • Experience managing sales opportunities involving complex business and legal contracts
  • Frequent travel
  • Fluent in English

Technical Account Manager, Americas

CANDIDATE

As part of the sales team for the North American region, and reporting to the Sales Director, Americas, the Technical Account Manager will fulfill a number of customer facing roles from a technical perspective:

  • Introduce and educate customers and prospective customers on the technical aspects of Spatial’s growing portfolio of products.  
  • Guide and train evaluators on the best implementation strategy that fits their requirements and workflow.  
  • Support and own the technical relationship with existing customers.  
  • Together with the account manager(s) for your region, you ensure prospects, evaluators, and current customers are happy with their solution.  

In the role of Technical Account Manager, you will be expected to understand each of Spatial’s products at a high level in order to answer questions about what each of the products do, how the products work, and how they bring value to the customer.  You will use a combination of documentation, sample code already created, sample code you must write, and other internal resources.  Demonstrations are commonly given to prospects and current customers wishing to expand their use of Spatial technology.  Effective and productive technical communication between the customer and Spatial is paramount and often times, you play a vital role.  You will work directly with product management to ensure they are up-to-date on the latest customer needs.  To stay current on the industry trends you are expected to attend various trade shows throughout the year.   Occasional travel to customer sites are necessary for this position which can account for approximately 20-25% of your time.  Periodic visits to HQ throughout the year are also required, at least once a quarter.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or similar
  • Must be highly proficient with at least two of the following C, C++, C#, Qt, JAVA
  • Knowledge of current web technologies and frameworks such as JavaScript, WebGL, WebSockets, and jQuery are a plus
  • Strong communication skills are essential including presentation skills
  • Proven success in working with cross functional teams including product development, consulting services, and customer support.
  • Background in CAD, CAM, CAE, EDA, FEA a plus
  • Fluent in English
